They didn’t plan to start a party company. Life just kept giving them reasons to.

It started on a PATH train. Christmas Eve, 2007 — Brian and Liz, both living in Hoboken, both heading into the city the day before Christmas. They met somewhere between the Hudson River and lower Manhattan. He was from upstate New York. She was from the West Coast. Neither had any reason to be on that train at that hour, and yet — here we are.

Together they built a life that took them from Hoboken to Seattle, back east, and eventually out to Colorado with two little girls in tow. In 2021, they made the move back to Morristown, New Jersey — full circle, a little older, significantly outnumbered by children and dogs.

The life they built is a lot. And they wouldn’t change a thing.

Brian spent 25 years in financial services before walking away in 2023 to start a new chapter. Liz heads up partner operations for a multi-family office in the city — the person who makes sure everything, from the boardroom to the back office, moves without friction.

At home, the pace doesn’t slow down. Isabel, 13, swims five nights a week and fills whatever’s left with track, cross country, and theater. Adeline, 9, is a gymnast already logging serious miles in track and cross country of her own — both girls coached by their dad, who keeps everyone honest and on pace whether they asked for it or not. Rounding out the roster: a golden retriever, a Bernedoodle, and a brand-new Bernedoodle puppy with absolutely no regard for structure, boundaries, or freshly cleaned floors.

Early on, Brian and Liz tried the au pair route — two careers, two kids, one relentless schedule. It wasn’t the right fit for their family. So they made a call. Liz leads in the office. Brian leads at home (or so Liz lets him believe). It’s unconventional, and it works. More importantly, it gave them something most busy parents never get: a genuine, unfiltered understanding of what raising a family today actually looks like — the logistics, the chaos, and the thousand invisible things nobody warns you about.

They’re also, low-key, endurance athletes.

Brian is currently training for a half Ironman. Liz just crossed the finish line at HYROX New York, one of the most demanding functional fitness competitions in the world, held at Pier 76 on the Hudson River. When they’re not building a business or shuttling kids to practice, they’re running. Or swimming. Or on a bike before the rest of the neighborhood is awake.

The discipline that gets you through a race like that is the same discipline behind every Posh & Pop party. Details matter. Execution is everything. And you don’t call it done until it’s right.

Here’s what they figured out.

When they lived in Colorado, they discovered luxury sleepover party rentals. The girls were obsessed. The parents were relieved. Someone showed up, transformed the living room, and made them look like absolute heroes — without the three hours of frantic, last-minute assembly that usually precedes a birthday.

When they moved back to Morristown, they looked around. Nothing like it existed.

So they built it.
